A subtle change of opinion after excellent results
Dr. Frank Höhner is the owner of a veterinary clinic called Bretzenheim and during this interview he spoke about his experiences with hyaluronic acid in the treatment of joint diseases in animals and humans beings.
Why were you not initially convinced about nutritional supplements with hyaluronic acid?
Before the launching in the market of the new Vicano/Vifelo OrthoHyl Supreme for dogs and cats, I had read before some studies about the negative effects of hyaluronic acid used orally. So, that´s why I was not so sure if it could work.
What made you change your opinion?
First of all, I just wanted to make a little experiment. Since I have arthritis in my shoulder, I thought to myself: "Well, if the product is so good, then I should make an experiment on my own to check its effectiveness." So, According to what I was expecting, I tried it and after 8 weeks I really got rid of the symptoms. Since then, Vicano/Vifelo OrthoHyl Supreme has been used in my clinic with a great success.
How can you measure this success?
Of course, I don´t have any representative figures to point out how much success, but I get permanent positive feedback from my clients, and many of them purchase the product by their own initiatives, and this is in my opinion the best indication of an excellent performance.
In which indications do you prescribe Vicano/Vifelo OrthoHyl Supreme for?
I primarily use it for after-care treatments and orthopedic surgeries, also in patients with elbow, knee or hip - joint diseases.
Do you Apply hyaluronic acid in another different form?
No, I don´t. A direct application into the joint is too risky and even if it is made under 100% of sterile hygiene conditions it may cause problems in most cases. We have also tried intravenous and intramuscular injections, but the results were not really convincing. After all, we are definitely surprised about the excellent effects that we got with Vicano/Vifelo OrthoHyl Supreme.
